A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step

In preparation of my dating journey I have taken a few different steps to make this as beneficial as possible. Firstly, I have informed my friends that, I am "on the prowl" and that if they happen to know of any eligable batchelors, I am quite happy to be set up on a "blind" date. I have also signed up to two different internet dating sites, filled in my profile and uploaded a recent photo, however, I refuse to pay for this service so results could vary. Lastly, I have decided on certain attributes in a man that I will not compromise on. They are not numerous and I intend to be very open minded about the dates that I go on. Next update soon.

To love oneself is the beginning of a life-long romance

In all honesty, I look around every day and see people playing a part that is set for them by society. Relationships are acceptable, even same sex ones these days, especially in comparison to being single. True love? The search is on for me to find it through the numerous avenues that the dating world has to offer.

The best relationship one will ever have is with oneself! If you cannot love yourself then who else will? I for one have contemplated the legalities of marrying myself. This thought often comes to me as yet another of my friends announces their engagement to the "love of their life". I'm going to put this idea aside for now however and I am going to delve into the crazy dating world knowing that I am beginning my adventure perfectly comfortable with myself.
